I go by "John David" and my pronouns are they/them. I am a musician primarily performing on cello and double bass and I am active in my local jazz community. I have been a software engineer since the mid-2000s. Since the early 2020s I have been working in the AI problem space.

I am deeply nourished by time in nature and I am driven to explore world spiritual practices – I view spirituality as a highly personal creative art.
